There was a group of pilots who visited the Trencin’s castle and the others just rested on their hotel rooms. After today’s closing and price giving ceremony, we can state, the 7th FAI advanced aerobatic championship is over! At this time, everyone is enjoying the party, tasting traditional slovak meals and the oter stuff. Hopefully we will meet together at Dubnica airfield very soon ;)

The progressive one

After the first regular competition day - sunday, participants enjoyed the national evening of german team. Thank you so much for a nice time, we spent with you! Yesterday’s weather forecast promised perfect weather so there was nothing to make it impossible to finish qualifying flights. There were still 22 pilots without any points from „Q“. Just before 5:00 PM we successfully completed this first round, so were able to select a maneuvers from 10 teams for a final „unknown“ tasks. However, before them, there is also one mandatory round – „Free“ which is much more interesting for local spectators. Competition is getting more and more attractive for everyone :) Tomorrow, we are going to continue with the „Free“ flights.

The second successful day

As a week is reaching its end, the championship is already getting started. It was yesterday, when a flying was paused thanks to the local showers, but today we kept flying for all the day. Our „top-gun“ pilots were continuing with the first round from yesterday, where the maneuvers are known in advance. In fact, we had to wait for dissipation of morning fog till 10:00am but then, it was beautiful sunny day with lots of cumulus clounds over the country. The propellers started turning, sound was getting louder, judges prepared their scoring sheets and grandious spectacle was able to start. Only 35 pilots finished their performance, the others have to wait for tomorrow. It is going to be a nice time, so hopefully the first round will be successfully finished. Check out our website, the photo galleries will be published very soon!
